Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Teller at our Sacramento location to serve as the first point of contact for clients, handling transactions accurately and maintaining branch integrity. You’ll engage with customers to uncover financial needs and promote appropriate banking products.

Under guidance from management, you will deepen knowledge of our product offerings, support referrals, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of banking or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with all Bank policies, procedures, and systems.
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail with numbers and written instructions.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and bank associates.

Responsibilities

• Always performs teller transactions and cash handling with accuracy and confidentiality (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, etc.).
• Maintain branch integrity with accurate daily tasks (ATM balancing, night drops, etc.).
• Mitigate risk by safekeeping money and prompt funds transfer.
• Interact with clients, anticipate needs, and provide proactive solutions in line with service standards.
• Deepen knowledge of Columbia Bank products and services and stay current on changes.
• Discuss and uncover customers' financial needs to identify product opportunities.
• Support branch referral goals by identifying and referring basic bank products.
