Job summary

Generative Group, based in Austin, is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers to understand difficult operational problems and turn them into effective technical solutions. You will analyze data, develop models, build user-facing and backend applications, integrate external systems, and create infrastructure and deployment automation.

Regular customer-site travel is expected. This is a highly collaborative role requiring coordination with engineering, product, design

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical discipline.
• Strong programming fundamentals; Python is a plus.
• Ability to work across the tech stack and learn new tools quickly.
• Proven technical ability through work, research, or projects.
• Clear written and verbal communication; self-directed.
• Willingness to travel and work in customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data and develop models to address operational problems.
• Build user-facing and backend applications to deliver solutions.
• Integrate external systems and create deployment automation.
• Take projects from discovery to reliable production systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, design and commercial teams; travel as required.
