Job summary

ICAT LOGISTICS INC is seeking an Operations Agent in New Jersey to act as the client-facing hub for processing shipments. The role involves rating quotes, vendor decision-making, invoicing, and creating SOPs while coordinating domestic and international shipments to optimize service levels and margins.

You will manage shipment lifecycles, negotiate carrier rates, and collaborate with customers and vendors to ensure accurate data and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years in transportation and/or freight forwarding.
• Experience creating and routing LTL, TL, and expedited ground services.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, schedule, and route shipments for transportation throughout the U.S.
• Oversee shipment lifecycle management with accurate data and issue resolution
• Negotiate rates with carriers and book space with trucking companies
• Coordinate and complete documentation between clients, vendors, forwarders, and brokers
• Prepare quotations for ICAT clients and track freight with ETA and piece counts
• Ensure compliance with ICAT policies and improve margins at the file level
