Job summary

ICAT Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Operations Agent to manage import shipments with a client-centric focus.

You will rate quotes, select vendors, and optimize margins while coordinating domestic and international shipments. The role requires strong communication, data accuracy, and autonomous decision making within ICAT policies. You will oversee the full shipment lifecycle, negotiate rates, prepare quotations for clients, and ensure compliance with government and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of transportation and/or freight forwarding experience.
• Experience with spot quotes, creating & routing LTL/TL and expedited ground services.
• Expertise in NMFC and density rating; hands-on rating/routing freight.
• Knowledge of government freight; USTRANSCOM experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, schedule, and route shipments for transportation throughout the U.S.
• Oversee shipment lifecycle management with focus on data accuracy and issue resolution
• Schedule and arrange pickups and deliveries; book space with carriers
• Prepare quotations for ICAT clients and track/trace freight with ETA
• Negotiate rates with carriers and ensure documentation compliance
• Design, implement, and refine SOPs to improve efficiency and margins
• Maintain shipment-level financial performance including cost control and pricing accuracy
