Job summary

ICAT Logistics seeks an Operations Agent to manage end-to-end shipment processing, including domestic and international moves. You will rate quotes, select vendors, and oversee invoice amounts and margins, while creating SOPs and coordinating day-to-day execution and tracking of shipments.

The role requires handling professional cargo, negotiating rates, and ensuring compliance with ICAT policies. Strong attention to detail and collaboration with sales and station leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years in transportation and/or freight forwarding preferred.
• Knowledge of NMFC and density rating is a plus.
• Hands-on rating and routing freight experience.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and vendors.
• Experience requesting spot rates with carriers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, schedule, and route shipments across the U.S.
• Negotiate rates with trucking companies and carriers.
• Coordinate documentation between clients, vendors, forwarders, and brokers.
• Track freight, provide ETA, verify piece counts, and update systems.
• Prepare quotations for ICAT clients and manage invoicing within policy.
• Design and refine standard operating procedures for efficiency and margin.
