Job summary

Element Fleet Management in Midland, TX is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee client fleet operations, safety, and compliance in an onsite role. You will coordinate with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize lifecycle, maintenance, and costs.

The role emphasizes data analysis, telematics integration, and vendor management, with a base salary range of $75,500 to $103,840 plus incentives and benefits.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in fleet management, client account management, or transportation operations.
• Knowledge of Land Transportation Safety Standards and industry best practices (IOGP 365).
• Experience managing vendors, budgets, and compliance programs.
• Understanding of fleet operations, lifecycle management, cost optimization, and safety requirements.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and relationship-management skills.
• Comfort with data analysis and telematics integration processes.
• Willing to travel frequently to client locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day fleet operations and ensure compliance with client policies and standards.
• Manage vehicle acquisition, maintenance, inspections, repairs, retrofitting, decommissioning, and remarketing.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, recalls, breakdown response, and safety requirements to reduce downtime.
• Serve as primary contact for drivers and client partners, coordinating with Element teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate vehicle, equipment, title, and inventory records and support readiness processes.
• Use operational information and telematics data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Manage supplier relationships, address service issues, and support data privacy requirements.
• Support fleet budgets, review supplier invoices, and suggest cost-saving measures.
• Recommend fleet policy and process improvements aligned with client needs.
