Groundswell in the United States seeks an engineer who translates incomplete business needs into working software. This hands-on, client-facing role collaborates with business stakeholders to refine requirements and design solutions.

You will move between client delivery, internal product work, rapid proofs of concept, and internal enablement, building AI-enabled applications and evaluating results while communicating clearly about limits and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent demonstrated ability.
• 1+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience building applications that integrate LLMs and AI capabilities.
• Experience integrating AI with APIs, data handling, and user-facing functionality.
• Familiarity with Python/TypeScript/SQL and API integration.

Responsibilities

• Take a defined technical approach and build production-quality functionality.
• Refine requirements with business stakeholders and propose approaches.
• Contribute to solution design and simplify where appropriate.
• Build complete applications integrating AI capabilities, prompts, APIs, and UI.
• Measure results with real data and report findings honestly.
• Support client demonstrations and explain AI applications to customers.
