Job summary

Groundswell is actively seeking an engineer who can take a loosely defined business need and produce working software using a technical approach. This hands-on, client-facing role spans customer demonstrations, internal product work, and rapid proofs of concept.

You will refine requirements with stakeholders, propose viable approaches, and build integrated AI-powered applications with robust data handling and error management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent demonstrated ability.
• 1+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience building applications that integrate large language models and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Take a defined technical approach and translate it into production-quality functionality.
• Engage with business stakeholders to refine requirements and desired outcomes.
• Contribute to solution design and evaluate alternatives to simplify AI components.
• Build complete applications integrating AI, prompts, retrieval, and API integrations.
• Develop evaluation sets, measure results, and report findings accurately.
