TalentPluto in New York, NY is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to sit between our product and the customers using it. You will own integrations, pilots, and technical onboarding for new clients, ensuring a working pipeline and smooth rollout in real customer environments.

You will see where the product breaks in the wild, shaping future engineering work while solving complex problems with data, webhooks, and integrations in a fast-moving startup setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software engineering, solutions engineering, forward deployed engineering, or technical consulting.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and production code experience.
• Experience debugging integrations, webhooks, and data pipelines across external systems.
• Ability to work directly with customers and discuss technical topics with senior engineers.
• Ability to operate with ambiguity at an early-stage company.
• Judgment on when to fix for a customer vs. product improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own technical onboarding for new clients, from first integration through a working pipeline.
• Build and maintain integrations with client applicant tracking systems and hiring workflows.
• Debug data, webhook, and matching issues end to end, across our stack and the client's.
• Translate what clients actually need into concrete product and engineering requirements.
• Partner with go-to-market on technical conversations during evaluation and rollout.
• Build internal tooling that removes recurring manual work from the deployment process.
