Job summary

Blue Orange Digital seeks an experienced contractor who can translate messy client processes into robust AI workflows. You will sit with operators, finance leads, and analysts to map workflows and build agent logic that calls CRMs, queries warehouses, and routes exceptions to humans.

You will split time between discovery, facilitation, and hands‑on engineering, shipping working workflows, instrumenting them, and handing over a runnable solution the client can extend.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs: prompting, function calling, structured output, retrieval, and multi-step workflows beyond prototypes.
• Strong REST API/webhook/SDK/database integration including auth, pagination, rate limits, and flaky upstreams.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client teams to map real workflows and translate into agentic designs.
• Decompose business processes into agentic steps and decide automation vs human involvement.
• Build production-grade agent workflows with LangGraph/LangChain, including tool calls, memory, routing, retries, and robust error handling.
• Create integrations to CRMs, ERPs, data warehouses, APIs, and document stores with secure auth and reliable operation.
• Develop platform capabilities: retrieval over client documents, structured output, function calling, logging, and observability.
• Design evaluations and guardrails for enterprise trust: tests, regression checks, PII handling, and human review where needed.
• Lead workshops and demos to align stakeholders on cost, risk, and timelines.
• Document solutions and hand over reusable patterns to the client team.
