Job summary

Acumen Technology in Nashville, TN seeks a curious Onboarding Specialist to be the first point of contact for new clients, documenting environments, and ensuring a smooth start.

You will own discovery for new clients, create clear, structured documentation, and support Professional Services projects, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Azure efforts, with hybrid on-site work.

This role emphasizes communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, both in-person and remote.
• 2-4 years of hands-on systems administration or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, virtualization, networking fundamentals, and backup/DR concepts.
• Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft 365 admin center; tenant migration or Entra projects is a plus.
• Demonstrated documentation skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own discovery for every new client: networks, servers, firewalls, apps, licensing, credentials, backups, and more.
• Produce accurate, structured documentation useful to engineers.
• Ask the right questions to uncover gaps early in onboarding.
• Work independently and drive the discovery process forward.
• Collaborate with the technical team during tooling deployment and ensure all needs are met.
• Support Professional Services project work between onboardings (e.g., M365, Entra ID, Azure).
• Be the face of Acumen Technology with excellent customer service and communication.
