Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Petoskey, MI is seeking a Client Care & Community Relations Coordinator to proactively build relationships with clients, families, and community partners. You will coordinate care planning, schedule management, and caregiver partnerships while traveling within the northern service area.

The role collaborates with the Operations Team to ensure high-quality service, onboarding, and ongoing communication from inquiry to service completion.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent career experience preferred.
• Supervisory, leadership and/or coaching experience preferred.
• Must be able to successfully pass a nationwide background check.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the region is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an accessible local point person for clients and families, building trust through regular communication, home visits, and dependable follow-through.
• Conduct in-home consultations to understand client goals, preferences, support needs, and family expectations; explain available services and coordinate next steps.
• Oversee the transition from inquiry to active services, ensuring clear communication about the care plan, scheduling, and whom to contact for assistance.
• Partner with scheduling, care coordinators and nursing as needed to support consistent care, appropriate caregiver matches, and reliable service delivery.
• Represent Comfort Keepers at community events, senior service meetings, educational opportunities, and local initiatives that support older adults and their families.
