Job summary

Gallagher is hiring a Client Staff Accountant to join our growing team in the United States. The role focuses on servicing client fulfillment needs through AR, journal entries, and month-end processes.

Key duties include handling high-volume AR, communicating with clients about payments, and supporting audits. A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of accounting experience are required, with strong Excel and Office skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of accounting experience.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of high-volume AR functions for insurance programs.
• Communicate with clients regarding payments, balances, notices.
• Prepare backup documentation and enter journal entries.
• Assist with month-end close processes.
• Monitor and audit incoming payments (ACH and checks).
• System-to-system data reconciliations.
• Record postings of client invoices and payments.
• Follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with external audits.
• Research invoicing and payment inquiries.
