Job summary

DLA Piper in Chicago is seeking a Client Accounts Project Manager to support partners managing complex client portfolios. You will liaise with partners, clients, and internal teams to ensure accurate financial management and timely communication.

The role requires expertise in billing, collections, and matter financial management with strong analytical and leadership skills, within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in legal financial operations or project management.
• Knowledge of billing, collections, client accounting, e-billing, budgeting, accruals and matter financial management.
• Ability to analyze and reconcile cross-jurisdictional billing and financial systems.
• Experience managing global retainers and multi-jurisdictional matters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day engagement with designated partners, clients, and internal teams to ensure financial administration needs are addressed with accuracy and professionalism.
• Convert billing, receivables, and matter info into clear updates and insights to support decision-making.
• Produce recurring reporting and financial commentary on billing activity, collections, and port-folio performance.
• Coordinate with clients, partners, billing personnel, collections staff, and administration teams to resolve outstanding items.
• Support electronic billing by addressing submission errors and rejections.
