Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Client Accounts Project Manager to support partners in managing complex client portfolios, coordinating with client administration, billing, collections, and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial management and strong client service delivery.

The role collaborates with partners, clients, and internal teams to provide timely updates, reporting, and insights, driving efficient collections and profitability across matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration or related field.
• 5 years of experience in legal financial operations or project management.
• Experience with billing, collections, and client accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day engagement with partners, clients, and internal teams to address billing and financial administration needs.
• Convert billing and matter information into clear updates and insights for decision-making.
• Produce recurring reporting and commentary on billing activity, collections, and account status.
• Drive follow-through on outstanding items with clients and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Research and resolve invoice questions, charge allocations, and budget alignment with stakeholders.
• Support electronic billing by addressing submission errors and rejections.
• Track budgets, accruals, and financial activity to identify risks and profitability concerns.
• Evaluate aged receivables and work with teams to improve cash flow.
• Maintain visibility into client payment activity and execute collection strategies.
