Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Client Accounts Project Manager who supports partners and client teams in financial management, billing, collections, and reporting across complex client portfolios.

This role acts as a trusted liaison among partners, clients, and internal client administration, billing, collections, and accounting teams to ensure timely, accurate financial information and strong client service delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of legal billing and client service delivery models.
• Experience with billing, collections, client accounting, e-billing, budgeting, accruals and legal financial systems.
• Ability to analyze and reconcile cross-jurisdictional billing and financial systems.
• Experience managing global retainers and multi-jurisdictional matters preferred.
• Proficiency with project management tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day engagement with partners, clients, and internal teams for financial administration.
• Convert billing and matter information into updates and recommendations for decisions.
• Produce reporting and financial commentary on billing activity and collection progress.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve invoice questions and payment barriers.
• Support electronic billing and track accruals, budgets, and profitability.
• Identify process improvements and promote best practices across the department.
