Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Client Accounts Project Manager to support partners in managing complex client portfolios, billing, collections, and financial reporting. The role acts as a liaison across client administration, billing, collections, and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial management and strong client service.

The role requires collaboration across multiple offices with a hybrid work schedule and opportunities to influence workflows and reporting practices for the department.

Qualifications

• Experience with legal billing and client accounting.
• 5 years in financial operations or project management.
• Familiarity with cross-jurisdiction billing and multijurisdictional matters.
• Experience with e-billing systems and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day engagement with partners, clients, and internal teams to address financial needs.
• Convert billing, receivables and matter data into updates, insights, and recommendations.
• Produce recurring reporting and financial commentary on billing activity, collections, status and trends.
• Coordinate with clients, partners and staff to drive timely follow-ups and resolve issues.
• Support electronic billing by addressing submission errors, reductions or rejections.
• Track accruals, budgets, AFAs, and profitability and escalate anomalies.
• Maintain visibility into client payment activity and execute focused collection strategies.
