Job summary

ABIP CPAs & Advisors is seeking a Client Accountant to oversee outsourced accounting for multiple CAS clients. You will manage client relationships, guide engagement teams, and provide strategic insights from financial results.

The role emphasizes process improvements, technology adoption (cloud-based platforms), and strong collaboration across tax, assurance, and advisory groups within a hands-on public accounting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or client management.
• CPA license required for Manager or Senior Manager positions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of CAS clients, overseeing all outsourced accounting and financial reporting engagements.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance.
• Review and analyze financial statements, management reports, and KPIs, providing actionable insights to clients.
• Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining relationships and proactive communication.
• Advise clients on accounting process improvements, system implementations, and internal control enhancements.
• Oversee, mentor, and review work by seniors, staff accountants, and offshore team members.
• Coordinate with tax, assurance, and advisory teams to ensure cohesive client service and timely deliverables.
• Stay current on emerging accounting technologies, adopting cloud-based platforms and automation tools.
• Support business development by identifying client needs, preparing proposals, and participating in firm growth initiatives.
