Job summary

Sound Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Client Access Representative (CAR) to serve as the front-line contact for clients and referral sources.

The CAR will manage intake, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and coordinate appointments within the Outpatient department. The role supports clinicians and improves client engagement through efficient scheduling and documentation in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience in medical or behavioral health environment is desired.
• Strong customer service and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and visitors; answer inquiries professionally.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service.
• Maintain and update client records in electronic medical records.
• Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate client appointments with clinicians.
• Serve as liaison between referrals and behavioral health services.
