Job summary

Howard Center seeks an Access Specialist to be the welcoming first point of contact for clients in South Burlington, VT. This in-person role answers incoming calls, guides individuals of all ages, and helps create a supportive first experience in the Access and Intake program.

You will provide information on services, perform initial screening, determine basic eligibility, and document in the electronic health record while collaborating with a close-knit team.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in human services.
• Experience with systems navigation, diverse populations, and knowledge of the array of services available required.
• A combination of experience and education will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Establish professional relationships with clients and families seeking help.
• Provide initial contact point for anyone contacting Howard Center.
• Provide information about internal and external programs, resources and services.
• Provide systems navigation.
• Complete brief initial screening.
• Schedule appointments for intake assessments.
• Complete basic eligibility determination.
• Complete clinical documentation in electronic health record.
