Pay
HK$17,611 to HK$27,413 (HGPS point 2 to 9) per month including Monthly Allowance.
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Description
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Service / Allied Health Service
- Perform receptionist duties and answer enquiries.
- Communicate with clients/patients to answer inquiries and support departmental services.
- Assist in records retrieval and transfer of Medical Records and files.
- Be responsible for computer operation as required by the clinic including the maintenance of profile such as OPAS, IPAS, PBRC, FCS, etc.
- Perform shroff duties in patient booking, registration, fee collections, cash handling and slot maintenance.
- Telephone Operator
- To operate hospital’s telephone system and all related telecommunication systems.
- To answer internal and external telephone calls and enquiries from patients and / or the public; and convey to the appropriate personnel correctly and efficiently.
- To handle counter work and admission registration.
- To perform 24-hour shift duties including overnight shift, weekends and public holiday by duty rotation.
- Health Information and Records Service
- Perform medical records management tasks, including record loan transaction, record assembling, filing and storage tasks, record disposal, etc.
- Provide clerical support to the daily operation of the Medical Records Office and medical record management.
- Assist in handling process of medical reports, data access request and other types of release of information.
- Administrative / Supporting Services
- Assist in contract management and budgetary control.
- Support supervisors in discharging routine operation and contingency measures to hospital staff for contingency cases.
- Assist in handling continuous improvement programs for Administrative Services Division, including to provide clerical supports to develop department guideline, protocol and operation manual.
- For All Posts
- Handle correspondence and documents including filing and record keeping.
- Data input and analysis.
- Collect, verify and compile statistics.
- Screen, keep record of and distribute incoming/outgoing correspondence.
- Assist in co-ordination of meetings/programs.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Entry Requirements
- (a) Passes in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination including English Language (Syllabus B), Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent.
- OR
- (b) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below: – Level 2 in English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; and – Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects/ Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent.
- Ability to perform typing, word processing and/or Chinese word processing.
Preferable Attributes / Exposure
- Knowledge of common office automation (e.g., E-mail, Internet/ Intranet etc.) and PC applications (e.g. Window, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel etc.)
- Knowledge and experience in HA systems.
- Self-motivated, good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Responsible, able to work independently and under pressure.

- Serving staff who have completed F.5/S.5 or equivalent and have 2 years’ clerical experience within HA may also be considered.
- The service of Queen Elizabeth Hospital will be relocated to the Kai Tak Hospital in phases starting from year 2026.
