The New York City Police Department is seeking qualified Clerical Associate candidates for a permanent civil service role in the Printing Section. The position involves data entry, invoice processing, and strong customer-service duties in a production environment.

The Printing Section provides print materials upon request by the NYPD. The Printing Section is a full service in-plant print facility comparable to any commercial printing establishment in the private sector. There three (3) methods of printing offered are inkjet, digital and conventional offset. The Printing Section handles design work, print production, finishing and distribution. Print material produced include books, manuals, flyers, maps, posters, stationery, program booklets, targets, banners, and secure items.
The duties performed under supervision include clerical and related work such as:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Printing Section operates in a production environment. There are several large production printers, printing presses and commercial grade bindery machines located onsite.

Qualification Requirements A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
