Job summary

Leidos is seeking a cleared Network Engineer in Beavercreek, OH near Wright-Patterson AFB to design, test, and field network features for multiple platforms. Responsibilities include configuring networks, troubleshooting encryptors, firewalls, routers, switches, and VMware environments, and supporting Windows and Linux systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's or higher in Networking/CS/EE with 8+ years (or a Master’s with 6+ years) and US citizenship with an active DoD TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years in Networking/Communications/Systems Engineering
• Ability to identify issues and research fixes
• Strong fundamental network knowledge in IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN, VLANs, and Switch configuration

Responsibilities

• Communicate hardware and software issues with customers and end users, including leading meetings
• Track and document hardware and software across locations and programs
• Design and engineer program environments, enclaves, and networks
• Engineer, monitor, manage, and troubleshoot internal and external networks (encryptors, firewalls, routers, switches)
• Engineer, monitor, manage, and troubleshoot virtual environments (VMware)
• Engineer, monitor, manage storage appliances and coordinate with vendor support
• Research, implement and troubleshoot Microsoft and Linux products
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS routing
• Manage IAVA processes and system security scanning per SSPs
• Plan and manage system installations and upgrades for networks and servers
