Job summary

Leidos in Beavercreek, OH is seeking a cleared Network Engineer to design, develop, test, and field new network features across multiple platforms in support of USAF AFLCMC programs.

The role requires strong engineering skills, hands-on network configuration, security patch management, and experience with Windows/Linux environments. A DoD TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years in Networking/Systems Engineering.
• Ability to identify issues and research fixes.
• Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies.
• Strong fundamental network knowledge: IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN, VLANs, Switch configuration.
• US Citizenship required and active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Communicate hardware and software issues with customers and end users, including leading customer and vendor meetings.
• Track and document hardware and software across multiple locations and programs.
• Design and engineer program environments, enclaves, and networks.
• Engineer, monitor, manage, and troubleshoot internal and external networks (encryptors, firewalls, routers, switches).
• Engineer, monitor, manage, and troubleshoot VMware and storage appliances; assist with vendor support.
• Research, implement, monitor, patch, and troubleshoot Microsoft and Linux products; manage IAVA processes and security scans.
• Review logs and vulnerabilities, identify issues, and engineer remediation strategies.
• Plan and manage system installations and upgrades for networks and servers.
