Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Cleared Engineering Operations Technician to join the ADC InfraOps DCEO team in Hilliard, OH. This role covers critical data‑center infrastructure, including generators, switchboards, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.

You will work 24/7 shifts, perform routine rounds, coordinate with contractors, and respond to after‑hours calls. A Top Secret with SCI eligibility is required; 2+ years of experience is expected, with a path to senior roles

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to bend, twist, and maneuver in tight spaces.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Ability to walk on uneven terrain and work from ladders.
• Ability to manipulate small wires and objects with hands.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain diesel generators, switchboards, UPSs, and other critical data-center equipment.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform limited maintenance tasks including filter changes and PDU/ATS replacements.
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Follow all safety procedures while performing work.
• Conduct daily readings of mechanical and electrical equipment during rounds.
• Use CMMS to manage workflows and spare parts inventory.
• Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance.
• Respond to after-hour emergency calls per on-call rotation in the region.
• Comply with physical-security procedures and policies.
• Drive innovation to reduce operational costs in facilities.
