Job summary

University of Texas at Dallas seeks a Cleanroom Laboratory Process Engineer to develop and optimize thin-film processes, mentor users, and maintain laboratory operations in the Richardson facility. You will work with staff to support daily lab activities and address equipment and process issues across plasma etch, CVD, and other deposition tools.

The role requires a Master’s degree in engineering or natural sciences (doctorate preferred) with hands-on graduate research experience, and strong

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (Doctorate preferred) in engineering or the natural sciences with 6 months of related work experience.
  • Hands-on experience as part of Graduate research is acceptable.
  • Doctorate in engineering or the natural sciences and 4+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop SOPs, define process parameters, and run qualification runs on deposition and etch tools.
  • Train internal and external users on process and metrology tools.
  • Support and troubleshoot process-related issues on various tools.
  • Support operation and maintenance of plasma etch tools, CVD tools, and atmospheric furnaces.
  • Back-up trainer for internal and external users on process and metrology tools.
