Job summary

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort is seeking a dedicated housekeeping associate to keep guest areas and public spaces clean, safe, and welcoming. You will work across slots, lounges, dining areas, restrooms, and conference spaces, supporting the team to maintain high standards.

This role requires flexibility to work weekends/holidays, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and good communication with guests and staff. Prior casino or hospitality experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Previous work experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to accomplish work tasks by a given deadline.
• Ability to work with others to accomplish objectives.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to guests and other employees of the organization.
• Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Keep spaces safe, clean, and welcoming for guests and team members.
• Cleans slot machines, chairs, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, dining areas, kitchens, restrooms, corridors, and other public areas.
• Cleans and maintains departmental equipment and work areas.
• Sweeps, mops, waxes, vacuums, dusts, and polishes floors and fabrics.
• Cleans walls, ceilings, windows, and woodwork; washes sills and blinds.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Replenishes supplies in restrooms, kitchens, and work areas.
• Operates departmental equipment as needed.
• Sets up tables and chairs for events; reports maintenance concerns.
• Communicates status to on-coming shift; supports team as needed.

What you bring to the table

• Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
• Cleans slot machines, slot chairs, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, dining areas, kitchens, rest rooms, corridors, public areas, elevators, stairways, and locker areas.
• Cleans and maintains departmental equipment and other work areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, mops, waxes, vacuums, dusts, and polishes floors, cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and cleans woodwork, washes windows, blinds, door panels, and sills.
• Empties and cleans waste containers and ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area and disposes of in compactor or recycle container.
• Replenishes restrooms, kitchen and work area supplies.
• Operates departmental vehicles and equipment to include vacuums, lifts, ladders, extractor, etc.
• Transports small equipment, tools and supplies between departments or buildings.
• Sets up tables and chairs in conference, event area or hall.
• Reports maintenance concerns to Lead, Supervisor or Maintenance personnel.
• Communicates with on-coming shift the status of projects, problems, concerns etc.
• Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)
