Job summary

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort on Oregon's southern coast seeks a Shuttle Driver to greet guests warmly and ensure a safe, enjoyable transportation experience to and from the casino and designated locations.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, keep the shuttle clean and fueled, and stay informed on promotions and events to share with guests. Strong communication and a teamwork mindset are essential.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Six (6) months of hospitality-related experience required.
  • Valid Oregon driver’s license with 5+ years driving experience and clean record.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must pass drug testing including cannabis/THC.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist guests, ensuring a welcoming experience.
  • Safely transport guests to/from the casino and designated locations.
  • Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and report concerns.
  • Keep the shuttle clean, fueled, and ready to roll.
  • Track number of guests transported each shift.
  • Share casino promotions and resort events with guests.
  • Provide directions and information with professionalism and local knowledge.
  • Assist guests with luggage and onboard/offboard safely.
  • Maintain shuttle interior/exterior and support team as needed.

This role is all about creating a welcoming, worry-free experience by greeting, assisting, and safely transporting guests to and from the casino and other designated locations. Along the way, you'll share resort highlights, answer questions, and ensure every ride feels like part of the entertainment.

What you bring to the table
  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Safely transport guests to and from the casino and other designated locations while providing a friendly, welcoming experience.
  • Complete pre- and post-trip inspections of the shuttle and promptly report any concerns to your supervisor.
  • Keep the shuttle fueled up and ready to roll at all times.
  • Track and record the number of guests transported during your shift.
  • Stay in the know on casino promotions, dining specials, and resort events, and share them with guests in orally and in writing in an upbeat and informative way.
  • Provide directions and answer guest questions with professionalism, enthusiasm, and local knowledge.
  • Lend a hand with luggage or belongings, making sure guests feel well cared for.
  • Assist guests safely on and off the shuttle with a helpful attitude.
  • Maintain the shuttle's interior and exterior so it's always clean, comfortable, and guest-ready.
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)

  • Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
  • HS Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Six (6) months of prior experience working in a hospitality related position required; this can include volunteer work. Transportation experience helpful.
  • Must have a valid Oregon Driver's license with a minimum of five (5) years of licensed driving experience with an acceptable record and the ability to be insured through Ko-Kwel Casino Resort's insurance program.
  • Proven track record of excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with any drug testing practices as a matter of safety; this includes testing negative for cannabis/THC.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates

Ability to sit in driving position for long periods. It\'s important to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure, especially when dealing with stressful situations or upset people. Just a heads-up-the casino environment may expose you to secondhand smoke.
