Job summary

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort in Oregon seeks a dedicated Housekeeping Team Member to create sparkling, welcoming spaces for guests. You will maintain hotel cleanliness, restock amenities and support teammates to ensure a superior stay.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and flexible availability, including weekends and evenings. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred and training is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Follow hotel standards for cleanliness and safety; report safety concerns.
  • Assist colleagues and manage stockrooms, carts and supplies.
  • Handle lost and found items and report issues to supervisor.

The Housekeeping team member is a behind-the-scenes hero, creating sparkling, welcoming spaces that make every guest feel at home. From fluffing pillows to restocking amenities, this role ensures guest rooms shine, bathrooms sparkle, and every detail contributes to an exceptional stay. Each action helps turn an ordinary visit into a memorable experience, combining attention to detail with genuine hospitality.

What you bring to the table
  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Warmly greet guests, respond to requests, and maintain privacy and security, creating an environment that encourages repeat visits.
  • Vacuum carpets, upholstery, and draperies, dust furniture, and make beds to hotel standards. Clean walls, doors, windows, windowsills, and woodwork, and empty and sanitize wastebaskets.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, replenish toiletries, and restock guest amenities.
  • Arrange furnishings and accessories according to hotel specifications after cleaning.
  • Complete closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, and organizing carts, wrapping toilet paper, assisting colleagues, organizing stockrooms, and processing reclaim.
  • Take on daily projects during slower occupancy or lighter days to maintain hotel standards.
  • Handle lost and found items responsibly and report damage or suspicious activity to the supervisor on duty.
  • Resolve or escalat? guest concerns, complaints, or suggestions to ensure superior service and a positive guest experience.
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)

  • GED or High School Diploma preferred.
  • Previous hotel housekeeping or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to accomplish work tasks by a given deadline.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to guests and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to work with chemicals on a daily basis; ability to read and follow SDS sheets.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.

It's important to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure, especially when dealing with stressful situations or upset people.
