When you join our team, you're stepping into a workplace where you can learn, grow, and take pride in creating memorable moments across the entire property. We bring energy, heart, and professionalism to everything we do, by building not only unforgettable guest experiences, but a workplace we're proud to call our own.

Be part of a team that's shaping one of the premier destinations for gaming and hospitality. A place where guests and team members alike feel right at home on Oregon's beautiful southern coast and beyond.

Why this job matters

At Ko-Kwel Casino Resort, we believe hospitality is more than service. It's creating spaces where people feel cared for, celebrated, and connected. The Compass by Margaritaville hotel is a vibrant extension of that spirit, blending the fun, relaxed Margaritaville vibe with the integrity and values of the Coquille Indian Tribe.

As the Hotel Manager, you will steward both brands by guiding day-to-day hotel and restaurant operations while nurturing a culture where guests feel the Margaritaville escape and team members feel the Ko-Kwel warmth of belonging. You'll be a senior leader, working closely with the CEDCO Senior Leadership Team, ensuring the long-term success of our hotel, bar, and restaurant while uplifting the community we serve.

What you bring to the table
  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Provide strategic leadership that balances guest satisfaction, brand standards, and CEDCO's vision.
  • Lead and inspire teams across all hotel, bar, and restaurant operations, ensuring seamless service and unforgettable guest experiences.
  • Oversee guest services, reservations, inventory, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and sanitation in every department.
  • Build strong relationships with team members, guests, senior leaders, owners, and the corporate brand.
  • Interpret financial and operational data into clear action plans, managing expenses wisely while maximizing revenue.
  • Partner with CEDCO Finance to deliver timely and accurate reporting.
  • Mentor and develop future leaders, creating a culture of growth, accountability, and succession.
  • Champion safety and compliance regulatory standards.
  • With the help of the Restaurant Manager, ensure outstanding operations in food and beverage, achieving strong health scores and delivering memorable dining and bar experiences.
  • Collaborate with facilities leadership to maintain and improve the property through preventative maintenance and capital projects.
  • Oversee group business, event coordination, and sales initiatives in partnership with the marketing team.
  • Regularly inspect hotel rooms, public spaces, and grounds to uphold exceptional standards.
  • Represent Compass Margaritaville and Ko-Kwel Casino Resort with professionalism and heart in all corporate and community settings.
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)
Must-haves, nice-to-haves, and maybe some bonus points
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 8 years of experience in full-service hotel operations, including prior executive committee-level leadership.
  • Familiarity with Margaritaville or other lifestyle/franchise hospitality brands.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze data and translate it into action.
  • Skilled with systems such as Microsoft Office, Infor PMS, Cendyn CRM, Revenue Management, SynXis CRS, and POS/Accounting systems.
  • Proven leadership in food and beverage operations. From restaurant service to bar oversight, ensuring excellent guest experiences and compliance with safety standards. This will be coordinated with the Restaurant Manager.
