Clean Room Operator Lead for a Catheter Building Company

Job Description

The Clean Room Operator Lead will be responsible for scheduling, managing inventory, assigning projects, and utilizing inventory and QMS systems to track work. This is a hands-on leadership role that involves training operators on assemblies and production work while also participating in assembly tasks. Responsibilities include completing sub-assemblies, using small hand tools, cleaning parts, documenting processes, conducting visual inspections, and final packaging of devices. The role also involves UV curing, operating a small welding machine, using Loctite, and testing components using auto test fixtures. Although some clean room work is required, it is not an all-day task.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to assemble parts.
  • Sort and place materials or items on tables, racks, or bins.
  • Assemble small parts manually under a microscope occasionally.
  • Clean assembled parts and place them in protective bags or boxes.
  • Package assembled parts.
  • Pick up, move, and sort small parts.
  • Verify raw materials and lot numbers.
  • Build products by following processes and completing assigned work while meeting manufacturing goals and metrics.
  • Rotate as necessary and collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional groups.
  • Maintain accurate records, including training records and required paperwork.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Report defective material or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Follow and adhere to safety and quality processes and procedures.
  • Communicate operation status to management in a timely manner, including any safety or process issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in medical device assembly.
  • 1-2+ years of experience working as a lead, including leading and training others, and scheduling people on builds or product lines.
  • 1-2+ years of experience working with inventory systems and QMS systems (preferably Epicor or Agile).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr.
