Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business in Rosslyn seeks an IT Technician to deliver high-quality technical and consultative support to faculty, staff, students, and external clients during executive education programs and hosted events.

You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and networks and support classroom technology and AV needs to ensure a polished tech experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of experience required.
At least three years of relevant experience strongly preferred.
A+ or Microsoft MCSA certification preferred.
Experience with PowerShell scripting and Intune is desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality IT support to faculty, staff, students, and external clients.
Troubleshoot desktop software, hardware, and network issues; resolve requests within 4 hours.
Collaborate on classroom technology and audiovisual needs for events and programs.
Create and edit PowerShell scripts to automate software installs and configurations.
Work with vendors for warranty parts and repairs; support imaging and deployment guidelines.
Train users on AV resources and basic applications; support on-site events and training.
Assist in maintaining AV equipment, software, hardware, and cloud resources.
