Job summary

University of Virginia's ITS is seeking a Classroom Support Technician to install, maintain, and support technology-enhanced classrooms. You will assist faculty and staff with classroom tech, troubleshoot audio/video systems, and configure Crestron equipment under engineers' guidance.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong customer service, and on-site presence in Charlottesville, VA. Some positions prefer an Associate’s degree, and the anticipated salary range is $52,000–$56,000 per

Qualifications

High school diploma required.
Demonstrated customer service skills.
Ability to be on-site in Charlottesville, VA (no remote work).
Preference will be given to applicants with an Associate’s degree.

Responsibilities

Assists faculty, staff, and other end users with technology installed in classrooms.
Troubleshoot networked, commercial audio, and video systems.
Install and configure audio and video equipment in classrooms – including projectors, computers, and Crestron equipment, with the engineers guidance.
Interpreting and wiring diagrams to terminate audio/video cables.
Update/upgrade firmware/software on devices and computers, per instructions.
Manage audio and video equipment using Crestron software tools.
Effectively communicate and collaborate in Microsoft Teams.
Performs other duties as assigned.
