Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a Teacher Aide to support classroom instruction and student development. You will assist with activities, prepare materials, and help students with skill development while monitoring behavior under teacher guidance.

You will also manage clerical tasks, set up audio-visual equipment, record attendance, and assist with field trips and routine care as needed. This role requires patience and the ability to work collaboratively with small groups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a teacher aide or working with children.
• Ability to follow teacher lesson plans and record progress.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual and group instruction and monitors student progress.
• Supervises students and assists with behavior management.
• Prepares materials and operates AV equipment; handles clerical tasks.
• Assists with field trips and daily routines (attendance, snack count, bus helpers).
• Supports speech and language activities as directed by therapists.
