Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking an instructional aide to support teachers of students with physical or intellectual disabilities. You will assist with instructional duties, prepare materials, supervise student behavior, and help with personal hygiene and physical care under the teacher's guidance.

Responsibilities include data collection, behavior support, and operating classroom tech while collaborating with therapists and staff to meet individual learning goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a teacher aide or with children required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with personal care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collects and records student data such as skill practice and toileting.
• Provides discipline in the absence of the teacher and maintains consistency with procedures.
• Implements behavior modification plans.
• Supports speech therapy activities and language development exercises as directed by the speech therapist.
• Operates classroom technology such as DVD players, data projectors, or smartboards.
