Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a Teacher Aide to support students with disabilities. Under the supervision of the teacher, you will assist with instructional duties, prepare materials, supervise students, and help with personal care as needed.

You will work 7 hours daily during the 10-month school year, with a schedule aligned to school operations. Required is a high school diploma or GED and prior experience as a teacher aide or with children.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a teacher aide or with children preferred.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and assist with classroom technology.

Responsibilities

• Collects and records student data such as skill practice and toileting.
• Provides discipline in the absence of the teacher and follows procedures.
• Implements behavior modification plans.
• Assists with language development activities as directed by the speech therapist.
• Supervises learning centers and assists with materials.
• Operates audiovisual equipment and classroom technology.
