Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to support students under licensed staff. You will assist with basic curriculum tasks, prepare materials, monitor behavior, and help evaluate student progress in small groups or one-on-one settings.

You'll also perform clerical duties, manage classroom routines, and help with field trips or drills as needed. A High School Equivalency diploma is required; no prior experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma is required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Title I assignments may require two years of college, an associate’s degree, or meeting a state/local standard.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment (phone, copier, fax, email).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc. (Daily, 30%).
• Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery in one-on-one or small groups (Daily, 30%).
• Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior across activities (Daily, 20%).
• Perform clerical tasks: typing, filing, inventory, data entry, etc. (Daily, 10%).
• Assist with field trips, drills, and other events as needed (Daily, 5%).
• Perform other duties as assigned (Daily, 5%).
