Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to support licensed staff in delivering instruction and reinforcing skills. You will assist with materials, monitor behavior, and help manage small groups and individual students.

The role requires basic office skills and reliable communication, with duties spanning classroom support, assessments, and event coverage. This is a non-exempt position in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting are required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Two years of higher education or an associate’s degree meets Title I requirements.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, and attendance.
• Assist students with curriculum delivery to individuals and small groups to ensure mastery.
• Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior during activities.
• Perform basic clerical work for the teacher (typing, filing, inventory, etc.).
• Support classroom events such as field trips or drills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
