Job Summary

Incumbent assists the classroom teacher in providing services to meet the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals of children with disabilities.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

1. Collaborate with Disability/Mental Health Specialist to identify children with disabilities.
2. Participate in the Multidisciplinary IEP Committee and attend scheduled meetings.
3. Provide one-on-one support to children with disabilities in various settings.
4. Implement IEP goals according to teacher-established lesson plans.
5. Assist teaching staff with observation records and lesson plan activities.
6. Rotate within the center, working with children in different classrooms.
7. Support classroom staff to maintain ratios of 20:2 for four-year-olds and 17:2 for three-year-olds.
8. Assist with diapering and potty training.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
