Job description

Insight Global is seeking an Information Support Plan Specialist (ISP) to join our team supporting a major defense client based in Warren, MI. This position offers the flexibility of full remote work. The successful candidate will provide technical and engineering support for ISP development and approval, including the creation of ISPs and KR KPPs using the DoD Information Systems Agency (DISA) tools, and will review and prepare engineering and technical analyses and documentation.

The role involves applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, and plan military weapons and systems, collaborating cross-functionally with Army Acquisition Programs, DISA, Joint Chiefs, and the Army G6. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Reviewing and preparing engineering and technical analyses and documentation.
  2. Applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, and plan military systems.
  3. Managing acquisition documentation and coordinating the approval of ISPs and NR KPPs.
  4. Analyzing functional requirements of military systems and translating operational needs into system solutions and architectures, including communications, information, and network considerations.
  5. Completing data entries in the JASM for military systems.
  6. Recommending and preparing schedules and work requirements for ISP and NR KPP development.
  7. Understanding and applying DoD standards.

Compensation ranges from $30/hr to $65/hr, depending on skills, experience, and education. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, HSA, FSA, DCFSA, 401k with employer matching, paid sick leave, and other paid time off, starting on the 31st day of employment.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience with Information Support Plans (ISP) within the DoD.
  • Familiarity with Joint Assessments and Standards Management (JASM) and Net Ready Key Performance (NR KPPs).
  • 3+ years of planning and execution experience.
  • Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and/or Unified Architecture Foundation (UAF).
  • Understanding of DoD communications, information, and computer systems.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information or Engineering.
  • Active Interim or Secret Clearance.
