Job summary

Columbia University is seeking a temporary Classroom Resources Coordinator to manage the use of CUIMC classrooms for academic and non-academic activities, including locker assignments and acting as the primary contact for scheduling requests.

The role integrates with academic schedulers, event planners, and university partners to ensure efficient space utilization and high levels of service. This is a 35‑hour per week, temporary position through 02/01/2027.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience
• Excellent communications, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and database management; experience with scheduling tools such as 25Live is preferred.
• Must be organized and capable of multi-tasking with diplomacy in a high-pressure environment; able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Gather classroom needs for all terms and assign classrooms via 25Live.
• Review and approve non-academic scheduling requests in 25Live.
• Serve as primary contact for faculty, staff, students, administrators, and campus partners on scheduling and space utilization.
• Conduct regular classroom walkthroughs and space inspections 2–3 times per week to identify issues.
• Mediate conflicts and coordinate solutions to ensure efficient use of space.
• Monitor classroom conditions and address issues impacting functionality and occupancy.
