SUNRISE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Cheyenne, Wyoming is seeking a Paraeducator General to support instruction under the supervision of a certified teacher. The position runs a 9-month work year and includes duties in general education, Title 1, ESL, and Gifted programs.

The role involves reinforcing curriculum, supervising students, and providing clerical support to staff. Responsibilities include assisting students individually or in small groups, maintaining records, and collaborating with teachers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts and reach academic goals.
• Monitor and supervise students in classroom, playground, and field trips for safety.
• Assist in obtaining, organizing, and maintaining classroom materials and supplies.
• Confer with teachers to evaluate student progress and maintain records.
• Assist other staff with clerical tasks and participation in classroom setup.
• Respond to emergencies and attend meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
