Job summary

Colorado College is seeking a Classroom Systems and Events Technician to support 190+ smart classrooms and learning spaces with AV technology, including lifecycle replacements and preventive maintenance. The role covers on-site support for classes, meetings, and events, ensuring reliable operation and high-quality experiences.

Applicants should have an Associate’s degree in a related field and 3 years of relevant experience; substitutions for education or experience are allowed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field is required.
• 3 years of experience in a related field are required.
• One year of relevant work experience may be substituted for one year of required education or one year of relevant coursework may substitute for one year of required professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Lifecycle replacement of classroom audiovisual equipment including projectors, Crestron control components, amplifiers, speakers, screens, and cabling.
• Provide on-demand technical support to faculty in smart classrooms and resolve audiovisual issues.
• Conduct annual preventive maintenance and system checks to maintain performance.
• Coordinate setup, troubleshooting, operation, and teardown of AV equipment for classes and campus events.
• Consult with event organizers to assess technical needs and support event planning.
