Job summary

Planet Group seeks a Multimedia Technician to support audiovisual needs for courses, meetings, and events in Cambridge. You will set up and operate equipment, record lectures, troubleshoot issues, and assist faculty, staff, and students with multimedia technology.

Training will be provided on equipment, workflows, and facilities. Some evening/weekend shifts may be required, and you will handle equipment transport and setup across classrooms and labs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of college or technical school.
• Working knowledge of audiovisual, multimedia, and video technologies.
• Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and external connections.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive user experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide multimedia and AV support for classrooms, meetings, and events.
• Assist users with classroom technology including projectors, audio systems, and recording.
• Record lectures and presentations, ensuring high-quality audio/video.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-site support during classes and events.
• Coordinate equipment needs for scheduled courses and events.
