Job summary

Planet Group in Boston is seeking an AV Operations Specialist to provide on-site audiovisual support across multiple spaces on the Medical School campus. You will assist faculty, staff, students, visitors, and event organizers in using AV systems during classes, meetings, and events.

This hands-on role involves preparing equipment, troubleshooting, maintaining spaces, and collaborating with IT and vendors to ensure reliable, high-quality audio-visual experiences.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of relevant audiovisual on-site support and training.
• CTS certification or comparable training preferred.
• Experience with Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Zoom, Teams, Panopto, or Cisco.
• Proficiency with Windows and macOS, and classroom peripherals.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site AV support for classrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces.
• Troubleshoot room systems, presentation tech, microphones, displays, cameras, and conferencing platforms.
• Prepare spaces for classes/meetings, configure room tech and connections.
• Provide in-room support for presenters and attendees.
• Support video conferencing, live streaming, and hybrid events.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance of AV spaces.
• Document issues and maintain service tickets and equipment inventories.
• Create quick-reference guides and training materials.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, vendors, and IT teams to improve user experience.
• Gather feedback and participate in AV system enhancements.
