Job summary

The Yale Cancer Center seeks a Classroom Technology & Media Specialist to support faculty, students, and staff with audio-visual needs across classrooms and events. Responsibilities include equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and updating digital signage, with flexible hours during peak seasons.

Primary work location is 212 York Street, New Haven, with a campus-wide zone assignment.

Qualifications

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced AV environment.
Excellent customer service with flexibility to learn new tech.
Proven ability to multitask and handle multiple AV needs.
Experience with video conferencing and classroom capture technologies.

Responsibilities

Consults with faculty to assess classroom and instructional tech needs.
Develops solutions to support pedagogical goals and interoperability.
Serves as primary source of information regarding AV technology and training.
Coordinates course support across Academic Media & Technology and digitization of materials.
Manages course management systems and presentation software.
Coordinates daily AV support for approximately 35 classrooms.
Maintains proficiency in AV technology and supports usage.
Coordinates AV support for campus events with ITS and Yale providers.
Develops and edits departmental documentation on system specifications.
Maintains equipment inventory and repair logs.
Oversees student assistants and coordinates work assignments.
