Job summary

Luzerne County Head Start is seeking qualified early childhood educators for PK-4 classrooms in Pennsylvania. A BS or AA in ECE with PA Certification or Instructional I is preferred or required for certain assignments; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Duties include planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, documenting progress, and communicating with families. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, sign-on bonus, and a school-year schedule August–June with summer

Terms of Employment.

Conditions of Employment
Luzerne County Head Start requires staff possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal regulations. Proof of Degree/Certification and Experience Required to meet the Qualifications for position.

Working a school schedule August-June annually, with an established summer break between school years.

Pay Rates based on education/credentials:

• AA Degree in ECE - $22.66/hr
• BS Degree in ECE - $26.97/hr
• BS in ECE + PA Cert/Instructional I Certification - $28.16/hr

Bilingual Abilities Preferred (Eng/Spanish) - 5% additional pay
