Job summary

Associated Fuel Systems, Inc. is seeking a Class B Diesel Mechanic to join a clean, air-conditioned facility with state-of-the-art technology.

You'll work on heavy-duty diesel vehicles, perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, and contribute to a stable career path with health benefits and a generous incentive plan. Position offers a 8am-5pm schedule, Monday through Friday, with a sign-on bonus available and opportunities to obtain factory certifications.

Qualifications

• One year experience in diesel engine repair.
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engine technology and components.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment used on diesel engines.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Run diagnostic tests on heavy-duty diesel-powered vehicles.
• Repair, maintain and service large straight trucks and buses.
• Analyze diagnostic test results.
• Test drive vehicles to gauge performance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep detailed maintenance records.

Class B Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities:

• Run diagnostic tests on heavy-duty diesel-powered vehicles
• Repairs, maintenance and servicing large straight trucks, and busses,
• Analyze diagnostic test results
• Test drive vehicles to gauge performance
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Maintain detailed records of service vehicles

Qualifications:

• One year experience in diesel engine repair
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engine technology and components
• Mechanical aptitude and problem solving
• Proficiency in operating all types of vehicles, equipment and tools
• Able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment
• Good interpersonal skills with Supervisors and Co-workers
• Willing to obtain factory certifications
• Ability to lift heavy equipment
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Class B CDL -preferred, not required

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, walking, lifting (often over 50lbs), and working in various positions like stooping, kneeling, and bending.
• Dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to use tools are also essential.
