What Makes This Position Special? Under supervision of the Director, provides reliable and courteous transportation of residents to outings, medical appointments, and personal appointments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Operate a passenger vehicle safely and efficiently, monitoring traffic, road conditions, and weather to ensure timely arrivals, and report delays.
  • Assist residents in boarding and exiting the vehicle, including loading/unloading packages and assistive devices, using ramps and lifts as needed.
  • Inspect the vehicle at the start and end of each shift, report issues immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and fuel levels of the vehicle regularly.
  • Read and interpret maps and directions, plan efficient routes, and operate GPS systems as needed.

The Skills You’ll Need: California Class B Drivers License with passenger endorsement, in good standing, with 2 years of relevant experience. Must meet auto insurance requirements. Experience working with the public and seniors preferred. Ability to work independently and knowledge of vehicle safety systems required.

SCHEDULE: To be determined, may include occasional weekends and evenings.
