Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Delivery Driver in Rome, NY to transport and deliver building materials to dealers, distribution centers and job sites. This full-time, day-shift role requires a valid Class B CDL, DOT compliance and strong customer service.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, load/unload, and maintain vehicle and equipment. Safety, accuracy, and the ability to work independently or with a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience.
• Willing to tarp and strap loads.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Work independently or with a team.
• Plan and manage time efficiently.
• Work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly.
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment.
• Report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett.
• Verify loads before leaving facility or job site.
• Follow safety procedures for transporting goods.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay Rate $24.00 per hour

Shift: Day Shift, Full Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a 30' straight truck. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top‑notch customer service. This is a hands-on delivery driving position and some Saturdays may be required based on business needs.

• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class BCommercial Driver’s License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Willing to tarp and strap loads
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
